The exchange between Na Lau village and Po Chai commune is an activity within the framework of the 9th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program held in Lang Son province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).
Speaking at the program, Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Border Guard, affirmed that the friendly exchange between Na Lau village and Po Chai commune is an activity organized on the basis of the twinning agreement between the authorities and people of both sides.
This activity demonstrates close coordination between the two localities in many fields, thereby contributing to fostering solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China.

Participating in the program, the delegations and people of both sides exchanged warm greetings and watched performances praising the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China.
Na Lau village and Po Chai commune are geographically close, the people have many similarities in language, customs and practices, with a long-standing close relationship. People on both sides often have activities of buying and selling, exchanging goods, developing the economy, and exchanging culture and arts.
In particular, since 2015, Na Lau village and Po Chai commune have signed a memorandum of understanding with each other, creating a legal basis for the authorities and people of both sides to further develop the relationship and cooperation in many fields.
Based on the 7 contents of the agreement signed by both sides, the government and people of Na Lau village and Po Chai commune have carried out in-depth exchange and cooperation activities in many different and deeper forms. The people of both sides are determined to support each other to promote the economy and society, and improve their lives.

Every year, the local authorities of Na Lau village and Po Chai commune organize visits and congratulations on holidays, Tet, and happy days. During the years affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the authorities and people of both sides visited and shared in all aspects. During the complicated epidemic period, when it was impossible to meet each other in person, representatives of Na Lau village and Po Chai commune often wrote letters and used other information channels to maintain close contact.
In 2020, when the Covid-19 epidemic was complicated in China, the government and people of Na Lau village promptly gave the people of Po Chai commune a number of masks to prevent the epidemic.
After the epidemic was controlled, on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024, representatives of Na Lau village and Po Chai commune met in person to celebrate the new year.

Most recently, on March 5, 2025, Po Chai commune invited people from Na Lau village to participate in cultural and artistic exchanges on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8 and participate in the Exchange Program "Women in unity, neighbors in harmony". On this occasion, the two sides held talks and exchanged experiences in economic development, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of each country.

At the event, the authorities and people of both sides expressed their determination to jointly maintain security in their villages and strictly abide by the laws of the two countries, contributing to building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

The two sides discussed the implementation of the orientation agreement between the People's Committee of Van Lang district, Lang Son province, Vietnam and the People's Government of Pingxiang city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China on the Van Lang (Vietnam) and Pingxiang (China) cross-border tourism cooperation zone.
