During the historic days of April, schools in Ha Hoa district enthusiastically organized extracurricular activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. Thereby, educating the tradition of patriotism for the younger generation, especially teenagers and children. This is an important task, contributing to fostering national pride, raising the sense of civic responsibility, motivating children to continue to strive to study and practice to become good children, good students, and continue to build their homeland.

Veterans Association members tell stories to review the 50-year tradition of liberating the South for students of Ha Hoa Town Secondary School.

In primary and secondary schools in the district, patriotic education is carried out in many creative forms, suitable for the age of the students. Teachers have skillfully integrated historical stories, heroic examples, and great victories of the Vietnamese people into their lectures and classes. Thereby, helping students better understand the arduous but glorious struggle of our ancestors to gain independence and freedom for the Fatherland. In particular, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South is a valuable opportunity for schools to enhance education about the heroic historical period of the country. Many schools have organized thematic talks, shown documentary films, told traditional stories, and reenacted important historical events related to the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, helping students feel more deeply about the meaning of April 30.

Along with classroom activities, many schools in the district also focus on organizing extracurricular activities and experiences to create useful and interesting playgrounds for students, while helping them acquire historical knowledge in a natural and vivid way. At the end of March, Vinh Chan Primary School organized for more than 500 students to study and experience at the Vietnam Military History Museum - one of the 6 largest museums in the country. This place currently preserves more than 150,000 documents and artifacts of great historical value, including 4 national treasures: Two MiG-21 aircraft, the Ho Chi Minh Campaign Determination map and T-54B tank number 843 - associated with the historical event of April 30, 1975.

Teacher Tran Manh Thang - Principal of the school shared: “The students are very interested in learning about the space and the meaning, the stories associated with the artifacts displayed here. Each artifact carries within it a story about a heroic period of our nation's history, spreading noble values ​​of patriotism and national pride. The study tour at the Vietnam Military History Museum not only brings students a treasure trove of vivid historical knowledge but also helps them understand more deeply the sacrifices of previous generations. This is a form of patriotic education through vivid, practical visualization, helping students easily understand and remember.”

Also in this April, schools: Minh Coi Primary School, Ha Hoa Town Primary School, Van Lang Primary School, Am Ha Primary School, Huong Xa Secondary School, Phu Khanh Secondary School, Ha Hoa Town Secondary School... also simultaneously organized activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South. During extracurricular activities, students participated in folk games, learned about the lives of revolutionary soldiers, and listened to veterans tell stories about the glorious years of fighting to gain complete victory and unify the country. In the form of dramatization, students also transformed into historical figures, reenacted famous battles, demonstrated their acting talent and rich historical knowledge. Patriotic education activities in schools in Ha Hoa not only help students better understand national history, but also contribute to fostering love for their homeland and country, and a sense of responsibility towards the community.

Comrade Pham Ngoc Diem - Head of the District Education and Training Department said: "We hope that through these activities, children will understand and appreciate the historical and cultural values ​​of the nation. From there, they will have the awareness to study and practice well to become useful citizens for society, contributing to building Ha Hoa homeland to be more and more beautiful and civilized. That is the continuation of tradition, the belief and hope in a young generation full of enthusiasm, ready to continue writing the glorious history of the nation".
