The clip of the score reading was shared online not long ago and has had millions of views, hundreds of thousands of comments and shares. And over the past two days, the online community has continued to spread and discuss the clip, making many people "laugh so hard they can't stop."
The teacher read the scores using nicknames, making the whole class laugh.
In the clip, which is more than 3 minutes long, a male lecturer sits and reads the students' test scores to the whole class.
It is worth mentioning that the teacher's unique way of announcing the scores made the whole class laugh. Instead of announcing the scores in the traditional way, the teacher read out the nicknames of each student along with their scores.
According to information from this clip, the funny and unique nicknames given by the students themselves made the teacher laugh so much that he forgot to read the scores: " The ignorant boy got 10; Coconut bridge enough to pass the subject got 8.5; Praying to the sky for a score beyond expectations got 8; Short legs, beautiful and cute girl got 9; Lowest score in grade 5; Diep Dinh Chi is so handsome got 10; What the hell is that 8.5; Pham Bang Bang got 9; Who is that person got 10...".
In particular, there were two extremely impressive nicknames when the teacher read them, along with comments that made the whole class laugh: "Mom loves mom at level 4. Only with great ferocity can she get 4, otherwise it would be 0 points. Can't save 4. Can't really save!"
Currently, this clip has hundreds of thousands of likes, shares and comments. Many students can easily recognize "Mr. Duy from the Food Technology Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry". "In Mr. Duy's class, receiving grades becomes an extremely interesting experience".
Many people also said: "The teacher is smart and creative." "Encrypting names like that is great, only the teacher knows whose score, the rest of us know our own scores. Doing it like that makes everyone curious." "This way of giving secure nicknames is really cool"...
Tens of thousands of comments expressed joy and delight at this clip, most of which commented: "The teacher and student are so funny" and added a funny sentence: "So cute. The funniest are "Het cuu" and "Mom thuong me do". Mom do - het cuu 4 are definitely looking at each other's work".
Hong Thuan said: "I watched the video and laughed so hard I had internal injuries. After reading everyone's comments, I laughed so hard I wanted to be hospitalized because I couldn't stop laughing."

"Create a comfortable atmosphere and protect students' privacy"
On the afternoon of September 1, Tuoi Tre Online contacted Dr. Truong Hoang Duy - lecturer of food technology, Institute of Biotechnology and Food, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, he confirmed that he was the person appearing in the above clip.
"The clip posted on social networks Facebook, Tiktok, YouTube... was recorded by students when I announced the scores of the food technology 1 exam, one of the subjects I teach," said Mr. Duy.
According to Mr. Duy, for specialized subjects in food technology, students will have many columns of scores, including regular scores during the course of study where students have to take a few tests, then there are mid-term scores and final scores.
For final scores, after the exam is finished, the school will cut the test papers to grade them and the scores will be announced on the school's system.
The grade that the lecturer reads in class is the regular test score that records the student's progress in learning a certain subject. The regular test score is not returned to the student after grading.
"I have been reading scores using each student's nickname for about 2 years now. Before, every time I announced the scores and read each student's name, some students with low scores seemed very sad and self-conscious.
While students get high scores, sometimes friends are a bit jealous of each other. I noticed that mentality of young people today so I asked students for advice on how to avoid…
Then, the student suggested that they could give themselves a nickname that only the teacher and the student would know. I thought this idea was reasonable, so I implemented it. Before the day the scores were announced, I sent a Google Forms link for the students to fill in their full names and nicknames. When the scores were announced, I read the nicknames instead of the students’ names.
With the technology industry, many subjects are a bit dry. Personally, I think that lecturers should not be too rigid but need to think of ways to create a fun atmosphere in the classroom," Mr. Duy confided.
Mr. Duy also added that in reality, there were some students who gave inappropriate nicknames and he reminded them and asked them to correct them.
"After a few periods of announcing scores in this way, it has really created a comfortable atmosphere and protected students' privacy. Reading scores by nicknames has actually been very popular with students, both high and low score students have received it gently," Mr. Duy shared.
