On March 30, the Francophone Alliance in Singapore, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy, the French Embassy and embassies of several member countries of the Francophone Community in Singapore, organized the 2024 Francophone Food Festival.
The Francophone culinary festival aims to enhance exchange and connection among members, while introducing and promoting the traditional culinary culture of each country.

Attending this year's event, the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in collaboration with Red Sparrow Vietnamese Restaurant brought a number of special dishes with strong "Vietnamese identity" such as bun cha, banh mi, nem ran,...
At the same time, Vietnam also introduced many food products associated with the above dishes such as dried vermicelli, spices for making spring rolls, spring rolls, spices for making spring roll dipping sauce, vermicelli and spring roll water... as well as desserts after meals such as bottled fruit juice, green-skinned grapefruit... brought from Vietnam by Green Powers Company Limited.
Mr. Cao Xuan Thang, Head of the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, said that the Festival is one of the annual events and one of the activities integrating economic diplomacy and cultural diplomacy with the promotion of trade of Vietnamese goods in the Singapore market.
The Vietnam Trade Office often invites Vietnamese businesses to participate, promote Vietnamese traditional food products and thereby promote these items.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Mai Phuoc Dung said that Vietnam has joined the Francophone community for a long time and has always been a responsible member, contributing greatly to the common activities of this organization.
Vietnam's participation at the event demonstrates our commitment and responsibility towards the Francophone Community in Singapore.
This is also a great opportunity to introduce the culinary traditions of Vietnam to countries in the Francophone region in Singapore, thereby understanding more about Vietnam's culinary culture.
Assessing Vietnam's participation, Mr. Virgile Prod'homme, Director of the Francophone Center in Singapore, said he was very pleased to have the presence of many embassies of countries, including Vietnam.
This year's festival had many participants, including Vietnamese students studying French programs at the center, as well as students from several schools in Singapore.
This will be an opportunity for tourists and the young generation of students to explore all cultural aspects of Vietnam as well as the countries of the Francophone Community with booths displayed at the festival.
The Vietnamese booth at the 2024 Francophone Gastronomy Festival attracted the attention of all visitors to the festival.
Friends from the embassies of the countries in the Francophone Community as well as visitors to the festival were all excited and delighted to enjoy the rustic dishes that are rich in Vietnamese identity and praised them.
