According to the Ministry of Health , hospital overload has existed for many years, directly affecting the quality of medical services and the operational efficiency of medical facilities. Although the health sector has had many synchronous solutions to reduce the overload, stronger steps are still needed to optimize processes and improve patient experience.
Dr. Le Tran Quang Minh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, introduces HDBank 's smart medical Kiosk system to users.
Faced with that reality, the Government's Working Group for Project 06 (on developing population data applications, identification and electronic authentication) has chosen HDBank as the only bank to accompany the implementation of a completely free smart kiosk model in the healthcare sector.
Representatives of HDBank's Board of Directors, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, PC06 Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police, Gia Dinh People's Hospital cut the ribbon at the Smart Medical Kiosk Deployment Ceremony at Gia Dinh People's Hospital on February 27, 2025.
In 2024, HDBank cooperated with the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06) - Ministry of Public Security and the health sector to pioneer the operation of the Smart Medical Kiosk system, helping people pay hospital fees quickly, conveniently and completely cashless.
On February 27, 2025, HDBank continued to expand the system with 06 new Kiosks at the ENT Hospital and Gia Dinh People's Hospital (HCMC), bringing the total to 120 Kiosks at more than 100 hospitals nationwide and will continue to expand in the near future.
As the pioneer bank in implementing this system, HDBank aims to simplify procedures, reduce hospital workload, and help patients save time and effort during medical examination and treatment. With just 1-2 minutes of operation, patients can complete the entire process from registration to payment, limiting long waiting times and helping hospitals operate more efficiently.
HDBank's Smart Medical Kiosk system integrates three outstanding features including quick medical examination and treatment registration to shorten administrative procedures and optimize hospital operations, standardize patient data thanks to direct connection to the Ministry of Public Security's electronic identification system via chip-embedded CCCD, ensuring accurate and synchronized information, and cashless hospital fee payment with direct link to bank accounts, helping patients transact quickly, limit cash contact, and improve transparency and security.
HDBank sponsors a smart medical kiosk system, contributing to streamlining procedures, reducing hospital overload and promoting digital transformation in healthcare.
The application of medical kiosks not only helps reduce pressure on medical staff, but also significantly improves the patient experience. People can pay and advance hospital fees 100% cashless, completely free of charge right on the kiosk. This helps reduce congestion at the cashier area, increase service efficiency and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tang Chi Thuong - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health spoke at the ceremony to deploy the smart medical kiosk system at Ho Chi Minh City ENT Hospital.
HDBank is a pioneer in deploying a cashless payment solution for the healthcare sector, with the first smart healthcare kiosk put into operation from July 1, 2024 at Phu Nhuan District Hospital. The expansion of this kiosk system is an important step in the strategy to support the healthcare sector in accelerating digital transformation under the Government's Project 06.
People can pay and advance hospital fees 100% cashless through the Kiosk system and do not incur any fees.
Previously, in January 2024, HDBank signed a cooperation agreement with the National Health Information Center - Ministry of Health, laying the foundation for expanding cashless payment solutions nationwide.
The deployment of the Smart Medical Kiosk sponsored free of charge by HDBank not only helps standardize processes, streamline administrative procedures, and reduce hospital overload, but also marks an important step forward in the digital transformation roadmap of Vietnam's healthcare sector, towards a more modern, convenient, and user-friendly healthcare system for the people.
