Voters reflect many urgent issues

At the meetings, voters of An Khe town and Dak Po district made recommendations and reflected on difficulties and inadequacies in social life. Notable among them were the settlement of administrative procedures related to personal identification papers; the issuance of land use right certificates; health care for people; allowances for people working at the Association of the Elderly in residential groups; delays in road construction, funding allocation for intra-field roads, etc.

Expressing concern about the serious environmental pollution caused by the production activities of An Khe Sugar Factory, voter Vo Duy Bach (Hiep An village, Cu An commune, Dak Po district) requested that all levels and functional agencies promptly come up with a solution to completely handle the problem in order to protect the living environment and help people stabilize their lives in the long term.

Meanwhile, voter Nguyen Thanh Hiep (Hiep Phu village, Cu An commune) reported: The construction of the National Highway 19 bypass through Cu An commune caused cracks in the walls of 19 households and caused flooding and landslides in some households' production land when it rained. This issue has been petitioned by voters to authorities at all levels but has not been satisfactorily resolved.

Regarding the problems arising after the separation of administrative boundaries between An Khe town and Dak Po district, voter Pham Khuong Thai (group 3, An Phu ward, An Khe town) stated: Agricultural land of many households is currently located in Phu An commune (Dak Po district), while their household registration is in An Phu ward. This problem makes it difficult for people to handle related administrative procedures. Mr. Thai suggested: In the process of developing the upcoming project to merge commune-level administrative units, the province needs to consider and research to ensure the rights of the people.

Representative of voters of group 15 (An Phu ward, An Khe town), Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoai made a recommendation related to military recruitment. According to Mr. Hoai, currently, some citizens after being recruited for military service but after re-examination did not meet the health requirements and were returned by the military unit, are still called up for military service the following year. This makes it difficult for citizens to find and stabilize jobs, especially citizens who are working far away; at the same time, it also affects the effectiveness of propaganda work on performing military service in the locality.

Notably, some voters suggested that there should be stronger and stricter sanctions against corrupt officials to strengthen people's trust; there should be a mechanism to monitor the use of capital sources in building transport infrastructure to avoid waste; at the same time, it is necessary to replicate good models and creative ways of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Focus on clarifying recommendations

After listening to voters' opinions and recommendations, representatives of departments, branches, and localities directly answered a number of issues within their authority. Regarding the issue of environmental pollution from An Khe Sugar Factory, Mr. Bui Van Khanh - Chairman of Dak Po District People's Committee - said: In early 2025, the District People's Committee worked with the Factory's leaders on many issues, including issues related to solving environmental pollution issues. Currently, the District People's Committee continues to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to work with the Factory to find optimal solutions, gradually overcome and minimize environmental pollution.

During the meeting with voters, the National Assembly Delegation of the province presented 20 gifts (VND 1 million/gift) to policy families and people with revolutionary contributions in An Khe town and Dak Po district.

Informing voters about the progress of repairing cracked houses due to the construction of the National Highway 19 bypass, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Ha Anh Thai said: Up to now, 15/19 households have agreed on the level of compensation for damages, the remaining 4 households are still discussing and are expected to complete the payment in April and May. Regarding the issue of flooding of production land due to the construction of the sewer system, Mr. Thai informed: One location has been handled, the remaining location is stuck with site clearance work so it cannot be implemented. However, the Department of Construction will continue to coordinate with related units to handle it thoroughly in the coming time.

Acknowledging the shortcomings arising in the process of administrative boundary separation, Mr. Dang Quoc Hoai Huy - Permanent Vice Chairman of An Khe Town People's Committee - informed: The Town People's Committee will coordinate to organize on-site inspections and propose and recommend competent authorities to consider and resolve in accordance with legal regulations.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Son Truc - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Command of An Khe town informed voters about the military recruitment work, especially the regulations of the Law on Military Service. Accordingly, in case a citizen is recruited but does not meet the health requirements after the re-examination, and is returned by the unit, he/she must continue to perform military service the following year. This regulation aims to ensure fairness and transparency in performing the sacred duty to the Fatherland.

Many voters expressed their agreement and support for the policy of restructuring the apparatus and administrative units to streamline the organization and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations. However, some voters were also concerned about the difficulties that may arise in the process of implementing administrative procedures after merging administrative units. In response to these concerns, the provincial National Assembly delegates provided more information about the Central Government's policy, especially the important contents discussed and agreed upon at the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee to ensure that the restructuring process takes place synchronously and effectively, without affecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

Speaking at the end of the meetings with voters, Ms. Siu Huong emphasized: The provincial National Assembly delegation has recorded and fully summarized the opinions and recommendations of voters and will continue to forward them to relevant agencies for specific written responses. In addition, the provincial National Assembly delegation will closely monitor the progress and quality of handling the opinions and recommendations of voters from relevant departments, branches and organizations to ensure that all legitimate aspirations of voters are listened to and properly handled. Regarding the recommendations under the authority of higher levels, the provincial National Assembly delegation has recorded and committed to fully convey them to the National Assembly forum at the upcoming 9th session.
