From 3:00 p.m. on May 30, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND518/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND694/liter; diesel oil decreased by VND90/liter. However, kerosene increased by VND29/liter and fuel oil increased by VND25/kg.

According to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, the prices of both gasoline and diesel will decrease from 3:00 p.m. today (May 30).
Specifically, E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 518 VND/liter, to 21,759 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 694 VND/liter, the new price is 22,519 VND/liter and diesel oil decreased by 90 VND, to 19,747 VND/kg. However, in this adjustment period, kerosene increased by 29 VND, to 19,931 VND/liter and fuel oil increased by 25 VND, the new price is 17,538 VND/kg.
Regarding the price stabilization fund (BOG), the joint ministries decided not to set aside and not to spend money from the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.
A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,077 billion VND, remaining the same in the two recent announcements.
Previously (May 23), E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 162 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by 78 VND/liter and fuel oil increased by 95 VND. However, diesel oil decreased by 36 VND; kerosene decreased by 6 VND/liter.
According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the period of petroleum price management will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.
In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
