Thanh Hoa Department of Health Inspectorate has just concluded and transferred the case file to the police agency to investigate the case of the Director of the Medical Examination Center arbitrarily correcting 29 examination results.
Information from the Thanh Hoa Department of Health said that the Department Inspectorate has just concluded an inspection of the performance of assigned functions and tasks and the work of preventing corruption and negativity at the Thanh Hoa Medical Examination Center, thereby discovering many shortcomings and violations.
Accordingly, in the years 2022 - 2023, Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, Director of Thanh Hoa Medical Appraisal Center, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Medical Appraisal Council, self-corrected 29 appraisal results of 29 cases, changing the appraisal results so that these cases could benefit a total of 459 million VND.
Specifically, in 2022, Mr. Tai revised 9 cases; in 2023, he revised 20 cases. Of which, 24 were disability assessments, 2 were occupational accident assessments, and 3 were on request.
Working with the inspection team, Mr. Tai admitted to editing and changing the examination content and assessment results in the medical assessment reports sent to 29 subjects.
The Inspectorate has recommended that the Director of the Department of Health withdraw the medical examination records sent to the 29 subjects. At the same time, a notice has been sent to the localities and units of the 29 cases to notify them to withdraw the medical examination results records according to regulations.
The Health Department Inspectorate has also transferred the case file to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police to investigate and clarify the violation.
