On July 5, the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University signed a decision to appoint the interim Board of Directors of the University of Health Sciences.
The interim board of directors of the University of Health Sciences consists of four members. Among them, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, is also the principal of the school.

The three vice rectors are all vice deans of the Faculty of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City National University (the predecessor of the University of Health Sciences), including Prof. Dr. Le Minh Tri, Prof. Dr. Tran Quyet Tien and MSc. Nguyen Hoang Dung.
Previously, on June 3, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision to establish the University of Health Sciences on the basis of the Faculty of Medicine under Ho Chi Minh City National University.
University of Health Sciences is a public higher education institution headquartered in Binh Duong province, with legal status, its own seal and account.
Up to now, Ho Chi Minh City National University has 10 training facilities including 8 member universities (University of Technology, University of Natural Sciences, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Information Technology, International University, University of Economics and Law, An Giang University and University of Health Sciences), an Institute of Environment and Resources, a National University Branch in Ben Tre province.
