On the afternoon of March 17, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police, and representatives of the functional departments of the city police received a delegation of religious dignitaries led by Archbishop Vu Van Thien, Archdiocese of Hanoi, and Pastor Bui Van San, President of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) to visit and work.

Archbishop Vu Van Thien affirmed that recently, the Hanoi City Police Department has created favorable conditions, helped and coordinated to have many favorable religious activities.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung also thanked Archbishop Vu Van Thien and dignitaries in the religious community for visiting, exchanging information, coordinating and sending congratulations to the city police.

The Director of Hanoi City Police affirmed that the recent good results in ensuring security and order also had the cooperation and significant contributions of religious followers.

At the same time, the Major General hopes that Catholic dignitaries and followers will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, live a "good life - good religion", encourage parishioners to well implement the Party and State's guidelines and policies, actively contribute to economic and social development, and maintain security and order.

Next, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung also welcomed the delegation of Pastor Bui Van San, President of the Vietnam Evangelical Church (North) to visit and work.

Pastor San thanked the leaders of Hanoi City Police and officers and soldiers for their good feelings towards the religious community in recent times.

Pastor Bui Van San added that over the years, Protestant dignitaries and followers in general and the Vietnam Evangelical Church (North) in particular have always received attention, support, and favorable conditions from the Hanoi City Police in religious activities.

At the same time, Pastor Bui Van San hopes to continue to receive this enthusiastic cooperation and support from the Hanoi City Police in the future.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung hopes that the Protestant community in Hanoi will continue to coordinate and help the city's police officers and soldiers to complete their assigned tasks.
