The Director of Dong Nai Construction Investment Project Management Board must commit to take responsibility before the Provincial People's Committee for the progress of 4 projects including reinforcing Dong Nai River and preventing flooding for 3 streams.

According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the unit is currently the investor of 4 projects to build reinforced embankments on the Dong Nai River.

In particular, the Dong Nai River Reinforcement Embankment Project from Phuoc Lu communal house to residential area along Rach Cat river was started in December 2023. Currently, this project has completed site clearance and will be completed in May 2025.

The Dong Nai Riverbank Reinforcement Project from the residential area along Rach Cat River, Thong Nhat Ward to Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2, Tam Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City was started in April 2018. Currently, 2/4 packages of the project have been completed. The remaining 2 packages, if handed over early, will be completed in June and October 2025.

The Dong Nai Riverbank Erosion Prevention Project from Rach Cat Bridge to Ghenh Bridge on Cu Lao Pho Island started in January 2024. Currently, the project has completed 67% of the contracted volume. If the entire site is handed over before May 10, the project will be completed in October 2025.

As for the Dong Nai Riverbank Reinforcement Project, the section from Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2, Tam Hiep Ward to An Hao Bridge, An Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City, which was just started in January 2025, the unit is currently coordinating with the Bien Hoa City Land Fund Development Center to carry out site clearance and urge contractors to carry out construction within the area that has been handed over. According to the plan, this project will be completed in June 2026.

Meanwhile, the Flood Control Project for Chua Stream, Ba Lua Stream and Cau Quan Stream started in January 2023. Currently, the construction volume has reached 41% compared to the signed contract. With this project, if the entire site is handed over in May, construction will be completed in September 2025.

At the meeting, the leader of Bien Hoa City People's Committee said that the locality will strive to complete the site clearance work of the two Dong Nai River embankment reinforcement projects and the Flood Control Project in the Chua Stream, Ba Lua Stream and Cau Quan Stream areas in May 2025.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to register the progress of the projects with the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, the individual director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board must commit to being responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the progress of the projects.

To overcome the flooding situation in the upcoming rainy season, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha also assigned the Department of Construction to advise the Provincial People's Committee on a plan requiring localities to dredge the canal and drainage system in the area. From there, localities will register their implementation plans and send them to the Provincial People's Committee before May 30.
