On December 31, news from the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the Chairman of the People's Committee of this province has just issued an official dispatch directing provincial departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations, along with the People's Committees of localities to strengthen the implementation of solutions to manage and perform financial and budgetary tasks in December 2023 and the first months of 2024.

Accordingly, for the Department of Finance, advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to organize the implementation of state budget expenditures according to the assigned estimates, ensure the allocation and assignment of estimates to budget-using units and subordinates within the time limit and regulations. Advise competent authorities to arrange and adjust expenditure estimates according to regulations, cut down on unnecessary expenditures to reserve resources to carry out urgent expenditure tasks according to the policies of competent authorities.

Heads of agencies, units and localities shall implement budget expenditure estimates economically, effectively, in accordance with standards, norms, regulations and within the assigned budget; reduce expenses for organizing conferences, seminars, celebrations, business trips, research and surveys abroad.

Invest in construction and purchase of public assets in accordance with the regime, standards and norms, ensuring savings. Organize the review and rearrangement of public assets to ensure their proper use, standards and norms according to the prescribed regime and in accordance with the requirements of the task; handle assets no longer in need of use in accordance with the provisions of law, publicly and transparently; resolutely recover assets used for the wrong subjects, for the wrong purposes, exceeding standards and norms; do not let public assets be wasted or lost.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested the tax sector to review all revenue sources, the amount of tax that is still being extended, and to have a firm grasp of the budget payers in the area and in the sector to have appropriate revenue management solutions. Check and control the tax declaration and settlement of enterprises, organizations and individuals to ensure correct, sufficient and timely collection of taxes, fees, charges and other revenues to the state budget...

In particular, departments, branches and sectors closely coordinate with the Tax Department in revenue management, preventing revenue loss, completing inspections, checks, urging full collection of revenues according to the conclusions of inspections and audits into the state budget, and recovering tax debts.
