World-class Standard Chartered Marathon Heritage Hanoi 2024 is about to start

The world-class Standard Chartered Marathon Heritage Hanoi 2024 will officially take place on November 3. This is chosen as one of the main events to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Standard Chartered's presence in Vietnam. Not only is it a source of pride for the organizers, but this tournament is also an opportunity to affirm Vietnam's position on the international marathon map.

In particular, in 2024, the tournament will turn 7 years old. With the message of Breakthrough, Reaching Far , Standard Chartered Marathon Heritage Hanoi 2024 will spread the aspirations of athletes, striving to overcome their own limits, together working towards a healthy, developed and prosperous community.

The race route promises to be unique but also challenging. The Standard Chartered Marathon Heritage Hanoi 2024 has a new starting and finishing location - Tran Nhan Tong walking street. The center of this location is Thong Nhat Park, Thien Quang Lake. More importantly, the campus and space of Tran Nhan Tong walking street, Thong Nhat Park, Thien Quang Lake can best meet the organization, medical care and rehabilitation conditions after the race for tens of thousands of athletes in the following years.

Up to now, the Organizing Committee has completed the measurement and test runs. The race routes are creatively designed, connecting the most unique landmarks of Hanoi, so that runners, especially international athletes, have the opportunity to experience the cultural heritage of the capital at the most beautiful time of the year.

Notably, at the event, an important content in the preparation work was the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and participation of Bach Mai Hospital Hanoi as the Medical Sponsor of the race. Bach Mai Hospital Hanoi will officially take charge of medical services for the race, supporting the organization of safety on the race track and health safety for participating athletes.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tri, General Director of DHA Vietnam said: “With the orientation of “Creating Hanoi’s cultural and sports heritage through running steps” and the commitment and great efforts of DHA Vietnam – the organizer and Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam will be the launching pad, bringing the tournament to a new height, striving to become an iconic marathon of the capital, an international cultural and sports event, effectively promoting the country and people of Vietnam, introducing the cultural, tourism and culinary quintessence of the capital to the world”.
