HI GIO Cloud is the first international standard cloud computing infrastructure service for the Vietnamese market, launched in 2017, developed by two major technology corporations: FPT Telecom and Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ - Japan). At the time of its launch, this was a unique product designed exclusively using advanced Japanese technology combined with FPT's international standard data center system.

HI GIO S3 Storage - unlimited cloud storage service for businesses

FPT and IIJ are constantly striving to provide the best service to business customers. In September 2024, the two sides launched the unlimited storage solution HI GIO S3 Storage. This solution is optimized in technology, effectively meeting the increasingly diverse needs of businesses in the current digital transformation process.

According to the announcement, this is a comprehensive storage solution built on the Object Storage platform, flexibly connected via the S3 protocol. This protocol meets security standards with fast data retrieval, cost optimization, high availability from many environments. This solution is suitable for: Data Lake, Cloud-native Application Data, Data Archiving, Backup and Recovery.

Mr. Kenichiro Okizaki - CTO of IIJ Global Solutions Vietnam said that S3 Storage service is developed according to Japanese quality standards, with the goal of bringing flexibility, safety and reliability in business data storage.

“This solution is also designed to support businesses in complying with legal regulations such as Decree 53 on data localization in Vietnam, ensuring a safe and transparent business environment,” IIJJ leaders affirmed.

HI GIO S3 Storage service ensures fast transfer of large data blocks, high speed up to 100 MB/s. The service will be more optimal when used with network transmission from FPT Telecom - the unit with the most stable and fastest domestic transmission bandwidth. With S3 protocol, the service can be flexibly integrated into the customer's Backup system, easy to access and retrieve data anywhere with Internet.

FPT is also confident in its commitment to safety and security because data on HI GIO S3 Storage servers is located in FPT's international standard data centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, built on Cluster Multi node and HA technology. In addition, the center secures data using Object Lock, Versioning, TLS/SSL data transmission encryption and SSE Data Encryption.

According to FPT and IIJ, the service helps optimize 30-50% of operating costs and system investment compared to other providers. The provider commits to 24/7 support, all days of the year with a team of leading telecommunications experts, both domestic and international. Currently, the unit can meet consulting needs in Vietnamese, English and Japanese.

Microsoft 365 Backup Solution (HI GIO M365 BaaS)

A week after introducing HI GIO S3 Storage, FPT and IIJ announced the addition of a backup-as-a-service solution for Microsoft 365 (HI GIO M365 BaaS) using Veeam technology to their cloud product portfolio.

The solution leverages Veeam's backup, recovery, and data management technology to protect Microsoft 365 data, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams. With the service, your business data is always protected, accessible, and restored in the event of a disaster.

Mr. Kenichiro Okizaki - CTO of IIJ Global Solutions Vietnam said that MSP partners are increasingly interested in backing up Microsoft 365 data from their customers. The new solution not only protects customers' data from internal and external threats but also contributes to increasing profits.
