The Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City organized a scientific workshop "Ho Chi Minh City Sports: Creating a Sports Economy - Leading Technology - Reaching International Level" on the morning of March 25 at Ton Duc Thang Museum (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Nam Nhan said that the strategy for developing Vietnam's sports until 2030, with a vision to 2045, aims to build a plan and strategy for developing sports in Ho Chi Minh City, in line with the requirements of socio-economic development and global sports trends.

Developing high-performance sports, professional sports, expanding international cooperation, researching and applying science and technology, sports medicine; promoting digital transformation, applying artificial intelligence (AI) in modern sports training, and improving the effectiveness of athlete training are very important elements in the development strategy of Vietnam's sports.
Dr. Vu Thai Hong (Institute of Sports Science and Technology) said that the sports economy is becoming a potential industry, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City. Dr. Tay Tat Seng, Chairman of Ativo International Group, analyzed Singapore's sports economy model, emphasizing the role of sports in creating jobs, promoting tourism and improving public health. From there, he proposed solutions for Ho Chi Minh City to develop the sports economy, focusing on education, community engagement and infrastructure investment.
On March 26, the conference continued with presentations of scientific research on the application of artificial intelligence in sports training, nutrition in high-performance sports, as well as sports brand development strategies.
