The Quang Binh International Marathon is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 420th anniversary of the establishment of Quang Binh province, the 75th anniversary of Quang Binh uprising, and the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Quang Binh province. - Mr. Le Phu Son, can you tell us the purpose and meaning of the Quang Binh International Marathon?
2024 is a very special year for Quang Binh with solemn activities to celebrate the 420th anniversary of the formation of Quang Binh province, the 75th anniversary of Quang Binh uprising and the 55th anniversary of the province's founding. Receiving the assignment of the provincial leaders, the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province coordinated with Bolt Event Company to organize the Quang Binh International Marathon in Dong Hoi city.
We hope to welcome many visitors and friends from all over the country and internationally. Your presence will contribute to making our festival even more successful.
- In recent years, how has Quang Binh province responded to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", sir?
Implementing the movement of the whole people to exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho, in recent years, under the direction and leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Binh province has regularly organized activities well. Every year, we have instructions for the establishments to organize activities. Especially this March, we will organize the Olympic Run for the Health of the People of Dong Hoi city.
In recent years, the running movement in Quang Binh province has developed very well. Currently, the sports movement as well as the running movement in the whole province are very strong. The running clubs in Quang Binh province are expanding. Currently, these clubs have also attracted more than 300 athletes and this will be the typical force participating in the Quang Binh International Marathon this year.
- How has Quang Binh province in general and the local Department of Culture and Sports in particular prepared for the 2024 International Marathon to take place as expected? What does Quang Binh province expect from the International Marathon?
For Quang Binh, the biggest advantage is the synchronous participation of departments and branches under the direction of the leaders of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee. In recent times, the province has organized many activities with a large number of people.
Regarding the infrastructure of Dong Hoi city in particular and Quang Binh province in general, accommodation facilities as well as restaurants and hotels are basically guaranteed to serve well a large number of people participating in activities in Dong Hoi.
Besides, Quang Binh province is blessed by nature with many beautiful landscapes, including forests, seas, rivers and mountains, especially the Kingdom of Caves. I think this race will help Quang Binh promote its tourism potential and strengths to domestic and international friends.
