Increasingly large-scale and professional

Over two seasons, the "Green Dream" Golf Tournament, organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association and sponsored by the Newspaper & Public Opinion, has become a familiar event, a memorable and meaningful gathering for sports-loving journalists. This year, at Tuan Chau Golf & Resort (Ha Long - Quang Ninh), the Newspaper & Public Opinion, in collaboration with the Vietnam Golf Association, is organizing the 3rd "Green Dream" Golf Tournament - 2024 - a collaboration that promises a large-scale, high-quality, and professional tournament.

In the cool weather, with gentle breezes and golden sunshine, on the lush green grass, journalists, businesspeople, and members of the public gathered to compete, showcasing beautiful yet intense and thrilling football.

The "Green Dream" tournament is organized in collaboration with the Vietnam Golf Association to further enhance the professionalism of the competition.

Commenting on this year's tournament, journalist Nguyen Kim Trung - General Director and Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio and Television Station - said that the 3rd "Green Dream" Golf Tournament - 2024, with its large scale and professional organization, was a resounding success, leaving a beautiful impression on the participating golfers.

This year, the organizing committee has made very thorough and professional preparations, from the shirts and caps to the competition format and prize structure, all of which have been carefully researched and invested in. The number of golfers participating in the tournament has increased significantly compared to previous seasons. In addition to journalists, the tournament also attracted businesspeople and readers, demonstrating the growing influence of the tournament and the prestige of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper.

As the winner of the First Prize in Category A, golfer Doan Ngoc Dung shared: “I am very happy and excited to have won this award. The organization of the professional tournament far surpasses that of an amateur tournament, inspiring golfers to compete with all their might and focus intensely to deliver beautiful shots throughout the season.”

Continuing the journey of "Helping Dreams Take Flight"

The "Green Dream" fundraising golf tournament is an annual event organized by the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper with the aim of implementing projects aimed at vulnerable groups by connecting and mobilizing resources in society to jointly support them.

Journalist Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - commented that the fact that over the past two years, the Newspaper & Public Opinion has allocated a significant portion of its fund to support medical expenses for many underprivileged child cancer patients and awarded scholarships to many outstanding and hardworking journalism students at various universities is a highly creative and meaningful effort.

By doing so, the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper has truly transformed the name and message of the Fund into reality, further igniting the passion for journalism among journalism students and contributing to the development of high-quality journalism human resources for media organizations nationwide, in collaboration with journalism training institutions.

The "Green Dream" Golf Tournament, which began in 2022, has become an annual sporting event eagerly anticipated for its immense humanitarian significance. With the contributions of golfers, businesses, and philanthropists at the 3rd tournament, the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper will continue its journey of helping vulnerable groups in society by connecting and mobilizing social resources to carry out charitable activities such as sponsoring medical expenses for cancer patients; supporting tuition fees and vocational training for children who have experienced violence or are at risk of violence; building classrooms for children in mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas; awarding scholarships to talented students and underprivileged students in journalism training programs nationwide; and sponsoring Vietnamese Heroic Mothers...

Journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Acting Editor-in-Chief of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Green Dream" Golf Tournament - emphasized that the greatest success and joy the Organizing Committee has gained from organizing the "Green Dream" Golf Tournament over the past two years is that, thanks to the funding from the "Green Dream" Fund - built from the generosity of journalists, golfers participating in the tournament, and sponsors - it has been able to support the medical expenses of many underprivileged children at K Tan Trieu Hospital and the Central Children's Hospital; and to award many scholarships to talented and underprivileged students at various journalism training institutions such as the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the Department of Creative Writing - Journalism - University of Culture; the Postal Technology Academy, and the Television College.

These are just the first steps on the journey of "fulfilling dreams." The Journalists & Public Opinion newspaper will continue to travel to many places across Vietnam with its mission of fulfilling dreams and helping those less fortunate. As journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy emphasized: "The 'Green Dream' Fund will continue to grow stronger, providing more opportunities to support more underprivileged individuals and giving even more motivation to journalism students…!"
