The first UIM F1H2O International Powerboat Race held in Vietnam

The race will be held for the first time in Vietnam on an international scale at the end of March at Thi Nai Bay, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh from March 29 to 31.

The Formula 1 World Championship is the world's highest level of speedboat racing (also known as F1), organized by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) and promoted by H2O Racing, so it is often referred to as F1H2O. The Formula 1 World Championship (F1) is the world's highest level of speedboat racing, similar to F1 racing. The tournament is organized by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) and is referred to as F1H2O for short. Similar to F1 racing, the UIM F1H2O World Championship will compete in 6-8 Grand Prix stages with about 10 racing teams from different countries, each team consisting of 2 members. Each Grand Prix stage will take place in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

According to the UIM F1H2O competition rules, racers must use motorboats designed according to UIM regulations. The motorboat engine is a two-stroke V6, burning 120 liters of fuel per hour to return more than 400 horsepower at 10,500 rpm. The boat can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 minutes and has a maximum speed of over 250 km/h. Racers are not allowed to collide with each other or with obstacles on the track. Violating the competition rules, racers can be penalized or disqualified from the race. The UIM F1H2O International Motorboat Race event is even more special when the 2 racing events are part of the Amazing Binh Dinh Fest Week series, commemorating the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of Binh Dinh Province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2024). Promises to attract a lot of domestic and foreign tourists to Quy Nhon city during these March days.

This year, Vietnam is honored to be the host country of the UIM F1H20 International Powerboat Race. This event will be held in Thi Nai Bay, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province on March 29-31. In Southeast Asia, Vietnam and Indonesia are the two countries hosting a race at F1H2O. However, Indonesia has not yet had a team participating in the competition. It is known that the races will have 3 days of competition, on the first day there will be a competition for the starting position (Pole), on the second day there will be a sprint race (Sprint Race) and the last day is the Final Race.
