The main reason is that Vietnamese sports lack a national program to train athletes focused on improving performance in key sports in preparation for the Olympics and ASIAD. Meanwhile, in many strong sports countries in Asia, investment in key athletes for the Olympics and ASIAD is developed according to separate programs.
In that context, Vietnamese sports need to have a systematic investment with strong breakthroughs as a premise to improve achievements. This is the content discussed at the Workshop on giving opinions on building a Program to develop key sports to prepare for the Olympics and ASIAD in the period of 2026-2046, held on March 28.
