Vietnam Entertainment E- Sports Association (VIRESA) informed that from April 25-27, at Sake village - Vinhome Ocean Park 2 (Van Giang, Hung Yen), the Vietnam Street Dance 2025 tournament will take place.
This is a large-scale street art event, a convergence of top dance moves, trendy styles and enthusiastic youth culture spirit organized by the Vietnam Entertainment E-Sports Association in collaboration with HNBMG Vietnam Media Limited Company and the #HanoiAllinOne community.
The tournament is expected to attract about 500 athletes from clubs and dance groups in the Vietnamese Street Dance community.
Athletes will compete in 14 categories (individual and group) in the Professional; Student and Children categories; in all categories of Hiphop, Breaking, Popping, Allstyle. The total prize value of Vietnam Street Dance 2025 is up to nearly 300 million VND.
Sharing about the tournament, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Entertainment E-Sports Association Pham Khanh Linh, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, said that Breaking has been present at the SEA Games, ASIAD and the 2024 Olympics and will continue to be a highlight of major sporting events. This is an official tournament of the Vietnam Entertainment E-Sports Association on a national scale, gathering the country's top individuals and dance groups. Vietnam Street Dance 2025 is considered a launching pad to find talented young faces, aiming for the Youth Olympics 2026 of Vietnam Breaking; an opportunity for athletes to meet artists, choreographers and dancers from many countries - famous names in the international Street Dance community.
More than just a tournament, the Street Dance community hopes to create a festival - where tradition and modernity intersect, where culture is reborn with the energy of the new generation.
The intersection between tradition and modernity was also incorporated by the tournament's Organizing Committee into the tournament's logo and identity through the use of motifs in the "Dragon Procession" painting of the Dong Ho folk painting line.
Besides impressive competitions, Vietnam Street Dance 2025 is also a visual festival with top music from domestic and international DJs.
According to the Organizing Committee, the champions of the Breaking Open, Hiphop Open, and Poping Open 1vs1 categories will be invited to participate in the Fire Foot International tournament in Thailand in May 2025, and the champions of the Breaking 4vs4 category will be sent to compete in the Respect Culture Series tournament in Taiwan, China in August 2025./.
