This morning (March 9), Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Hanoi City Police) informed about the case of a young man using alcohol, showing unusual signs, climbing onto the roof of the pedestrian overpass on Tran Nhat Duat Street (Hoan Kiem District) and lying there.
Specifically, at around 10:50 p.m. on March 8, the working group of Traffic Police Team No. 1, while patrolling on Tran Nhat Duat Street, discovered a young man lying on the roof of a pedestrian overpass (opposite house number 385 Hong Ha, Phuc Tan Ward, Hoan Kiem District).
The Traffic Police Team urged the young man to stay calm, while directing traffic and dispersing the curious crowd that had gathered to watch the incident.
To carry out the rescue, after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team (PCCC&CNCH), Hoan Kiem District Police dispatched a ladder truck, a fire truck and officers and soldiers to the scene.
At the scene, with many curious people gathered to watch, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police had to spread air mattresses on the road to prevent bad situations. At the same time, they sent officers and soldiers to persuade the young man to stay calm.
Nearly an hour later, at 11:45 p.m., the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force reached the young man's position on the overpass roof using a ladder truck and brought him safely to the ground, handing him over to the Phuc Tan Ward Police and the 115 Medical Center.

This person admitted to drinking alcohol and then walking from Thang Long Bridge to the pedestrian overpass on Tran Nhat Duat Street and climbing onto the roof to lie down.
