The event was co-organized by the Francophone University (AUF), the French Embassy in Vietnam and the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF).
Attending the opening ceremony of the race were Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador of France to Vietnam; Mr. Pierre du Ville, Head of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam, Chairman of the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations and Organizations in Hanoi (GADIF); Mr. Edgar Doerig, Representative of the Asia-Pacific region of the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF); along with representatives of diplomatic agencies in Vietnam and nearly 3,000 athletes of all ages.
The event is not only a vibrant sports playground but also a bridge connecting the Francophone community and French-loving people in Vietnam. With the spirit of solidarity, diversity and sharing – the core values of the Francophone community, this year's tournament brings many memorable moments.
The race has 3 main distances, 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km, suitable for the ability of each group of participants.
Through diverse activities, the Francophone Run aims to raise awareness in the community about the importance of physical activities to maintain a healthy life, prevent diseases and encourage a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

In addition to the race, the French Festival and the Francophone community will also host many cultural exchange and exhibition activities with the participation of nearly 80 booths, promising to bring a sophisticated culinary space and diverse displays on the automobile manufacturing industry, tourism, etc.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about study opportunities in French, access internship programs, scholarships, student exchanges, short-term language courses and training programs from French-speaking educational institutions in Hanoi, as well as job opportunities in French offered by French-speaking businesses.
In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to expand their understanding of the French-speaking community around the world, explore and exchange cultures, contributing to personal development in community relations.
Sharing about the spirit of the event, French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet emphasized: "This festival is aimed at young people and families, providing a unique space to honor and promote Francophone heritage, while encouraging exchange and cooperation in all fields."
