The closing ceremony took place at Phu Tho Sports Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. Before the ceremony, all events of the tournament had finals. The 2024 youth badminton tournament - DONEX competition is considered very important, jointly organized by DONEXgroup Joint Stock Company, Department of Sports and Physical Training, Vietnam Badminton Federation and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports.
The 2024 National Youth Badminton Tournament will kick off from June 25 to June 30. Notably, nearly 700 athletes from 36 provinces , cities and sectors across the country have gathered. Athletes aged 6 to 17 will compete in 5 categories: men's singles , women's singles , men's doubles , women's doubles and mixed doubles .
The tournament attracted nearly 700 athletes from all over the country.
This is an annual tournament, part of the high-performance competition system of the Vietnam Badminton Federation. This year's tournament has impressive numbers: 682 athletes participating, 857 extremely dramatic matches, 10 continuous competition courts. In addition, the Organizing Committee also worked tirelessly, officially recording a new record in history up to now.
Throughout the tournament, the athletes competed with great determination. From decisive smashes to spectacular saves, all created a meaningful season. In particular, the quarter-finals and finals were always extremely dramatic and tense moments, with tense situations and strong efforts, wanting to regain the game and finally finding the outstanding athletes.
The matches of the tournament were dramatic and exciting.
After intense matches, the Ho Chi Minh City team won big with 7 gold medals in the following categories: men's singles U.9, U.11, U.15, women's singles U.11, U.17, men's doubles U.15, women's singles U.17. The Bac Giang team was surprised. ranked 2nd with 2 gold medals in the categories: U.9 women's singles and U.15 women's doubles .
In other categories, the gold medals were also divided equally among the teams, reflecting the fierce competition at the tournament: U.11 men's doubles (Dong Nai), U.11 women's doubles (Tien Giang), U.13 men's singles (Dien Bien), U.13 women's singles (Quang Ngai), U.13 men's doubles (Ninh Binh), U.13 women's doubles (Thai Binh), U.13 mixed doubles (Hanoi), U.15 women's singles (Dong Nai), U.15 mixed doubles (Thua Thien Hue), U.17 men's singles (Lam Dong), U.17 men's doubles (Hai Phong), U.17 mixed doubles (Lam Dong).
The champions have been named.
This is a worthy reward for the energy the young people have shown throughout the tournament.
The 2024 National Youth Badminton Tournament for DONEX is a professional playground, a place for young players to exchange and compete, a place to fuel their passion for badminton, and arouse their enthusiastic sportsmanship. The experienced, thoughtful and safe organization of the tournament, along with the enthusiastic support of the fans, contributed to the overall success of the tournament.
The closing ceremony of the 2024 National Youth Badminton Tournament has ended with many brilliant victories, many overwhelming emotions and many breakthroughs.
