The 6th Thanh Hoa Journalists Football Tournament kicks off on June 16

Five teams will compete in the 6th Thanh Hoa Journalists Football Tournament - East Asia Cup 2023. This is a traditional playground for journalists in Thanh Hoa province, organized on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

The Organizing Committee awarded competition uniforms to the 5 teams participating in the tournament.

On the morning of June 9, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association held a professional meeting, drew lots, arranged the competition schedule and prepared for the 6th Thanh Hoa Journalists Football Tournament - Dong A Cup 2023. The tournament was organized by the Provincial Journalists Association in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Football Federation with the main sponsorship of Dong A Real Estate Group.

As planned, the tournament will open on the afternoon of June 16 and end on the afternoon of June 18 with a closing ceremony and award ceremony. The tournament will have more than 100 athletes from 5 teams, including: Thanh Hoa Newspaper, Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, Central Press Agency Association in Thanh Hoa and the joint force of the Department of Information and Communications - Provincial Party Committee Office - Provincial People's Committee Office and Thanh Hoa Journalists Club in Hanoi.

Representative of the tournament's main sponsor - Dong A Real Estate Group spoke at the conference.

The teams compete in a round robin format to calculate points and rank. The first-place team wins the championship cup, medals, and a prize of 15 million VND. The second-place team receives the second prize with a prize of 10 million VND. The third-place team receives a prize of 8 million VND.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded style awards and individual awards including: Player with the most goals, best player and goalkeeper of the tournament. The total prize value is 46 million VND.

The matches are applied with the 7-a-side Football Law of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, taking place at the artificial turf field cluster of Viet Hung Football Training Center, managed by the referee team of Thanh Hoa Football Federation.

The Organizing Committee has approved the tournament regulations, personnel work of the football teams; given competition uniforms to the teams; and at the same time prepared conditions for the tournament to take place safely and successfully.
