Football tournament for workers and civil servants in Hanoi has found a champion

On April 22, at Hoang Mai District Stadium (Hanoi), the closing ceremony of the 10th Labor Newspaper Cup Football Tournament for Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers (2025) and the 10th anniversary of the tournament took place. Accordingly, the Bac Tu Liem District Labor Federation football team excellently won the championship cup.

This 10th football tournament took place from April 11 to 22 at Hoang Mai District Stadium (Tay Nam Linh Dam Cultural and Sports Center, Hanoi) with the participation of 17 football teams from district, town and city trade unions in the city.

According to the organizers, over the past 10 years, the tournament has attracted over 5,000 athletes and coaches with more than 400 matches. About 2,000 spectators came directly to the stadium to watch the matches and thousands of spectators watched via livestream or platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, etc.

In 2024, the champion team of this tournament is the Bac Tu Liem District Labor Federation and the Cau Giay District Labor Federation team was selected to participate in the qualifying round of the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament jointly organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) ( Bac Ninh region).

After that, the Bac Tu Liem District Labor Federation team won first place in Group C and qualified for the final round of the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament in Hanoi.

Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh expressed that over the past 10 years, the Labor Cup Football Tournament for Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers has not only been an exciting and attractive sports playground but also a place to meet, exchange and increase cohesion between agencies, units and businesses in the area.

Mr. Thanh praised the organizing committee, businesses, and relevant agencies for successfully organizing the tournament in terms of scale, professional quality, and attracting union members to participate.

He believes that the tournament will continue to promote the movement of physical exercise and sports, improve the health and spirit of workers, thereby motivating them to work enthusiastically.
