In the price adjustment session on April 24th, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided not to allocate funds or use the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for all petroleum products.
Accordingly, compared to the current base price, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 740 VND to 19,238 VND/liter, and RON 95 III gasoline increased by 782 VND to a new price of 19,638 VND/liter.
Diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil all increased by 487 VND, 531 VND, and 564 VND respectively, reaching new prices of 17,524 VND/liter, 17,715 VND/liter, and 16,524 VND/kg.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the global oil market from April 17-23, 2025, was influenced by several key factors: the EIA reporting an increase in US crude oil reserves and a decrease in gasoline and distillate product inventories; changes in US tariffs on goods from trading partners; an expected increase in OPEC+ oil production; and the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. These factors caused global oil prices to fluctuate in recent days, but the general trend was upward.
In the most recent price adjustment (April 17th), each liter of gasoline was reduced by 351-384 VND, bringing the price of RON 95 III gasoline - the most common type on the market - down to below 19,000 VND/liter. Diesel and kerosene prices decreased by 206 VND and 229 VND respectively, to new prices of 17,037 VND/liter and 17,184 VND/liter. Meanwhile, mazut increased by 58 VND/kg to 15,960 VND/kg.
