Retail gasoline prices increased again at 3:00 p.m. on March 20.

Specifically, compared to the previous adjustment period, in today's adjustment period, the price of RON 95 gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by 440 VND/liter, the selling price is 20,080 VND/liter.

Similarly, the price of E5 gasoline was also adjusted up by VND410/liter, the selling price was raised to VND19,690/liter. Meanwhile, the price of diesel oil was kept unchanged at VND17,890/liter.

In today's management session, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance still did not use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Circular No. 18 dated March 13, amending, supplementing and abolishing a number of regulations in circulars regulating petroleum trading. In this circular, the Ministry of Industry and Trade abolishes the regulations on the inter-sectoral group regulating petroleum prices stipulated in Joint Circular No. 39/2014/TTLT-BCT-BTC regulating the method of calculating base prices; the mechanism for forming, managing and using the Price Stabilization Fund and regulating petroleum prices according to the provisions of Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading.

In addition, the management agency also added regulations on the mechanism for managing gasoline prices. Specifically, based on data on the elements constituting the base price of gasoline according to regulations and written opinions on gasoline price management from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announces the base price and selling price of gasoline.
