According to the joint management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance today, May 23, the price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by 80 VND, to 23,210 VND per liter. E5 RON 92 gasoline is at 22,270 VND per liter, an increase of 160 VND.
In contrast, oil products have new prices of 17,510-19,900 VND per liter compared to 7 days ago. Of which, diesel oil decreased by 40 VND, down to 17,830 VND per liter. Kerosene remained the same, while fuel oil increased by 100 VND, up to 17,510 VND per kilogram.

Thus, since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 12 times and decreased 9 times. Oil prices have increased 10 times and decreased 11 times. Similar to the previous management period, today the joint ministries did not draw or spend from the Price Stabilization Fund for fuel products.
In total, each liter of RON 95-III gasoline is currently about 1,300 VND more expensive, and diesel is 470 VND more expensive than at the beginning of January.
The operator said fuel prices fluctuated last week due to rising US commercial crude inventories, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) informed that it could delay cutting interest rates due to persistent inflation. In addition, OPEC+ is likely to extend the policy of cutting oil production at the meeting in early June.
On average, over the past 7 days, the price of finished gasoline increased by 0.5-1.1%, while oil fluctuated in opposite directions. Accordingly, each barrel of RON 95 gasoline increased to 96.6 USD, diesel oil was at 96 USD, and fuel oil increased to 515 USD per ton.
