The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just adjusted retail gasoline and diesel prices; the changes will take effect from 3 PM on September 5th.
Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 132 VND/liter, not exceeding 23,471 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by 270 VND/liter, not exceeding 24,871 VND/liter.
In this price adjustment period, the price of diesel increased by 291 VND/liter, not exceeding 22,645 VND/liter.
Kerosene increased by 505 VND/liter, not exceeding 22,814 VND/liter; Mazut 180CST 3.5S decreased by 277 VND/kg, not exceeding 17,704 VND/kg.
Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have undergone 25 adjustments, including 15 increases, 7 decreases, and 3 times remaining unchanged.
In today's price adjustment, the inter-ministerial committee decided not to allocate funds to the Price Stabilization Fund for any petroleum products, nor to disburse funds from the Price Stabilization Fund for any petroleum products.

According to data from the Ministry of Finance, as of July, this fund had a surplus of 7,438 billion VND. Therefore, the management agency has stopped making contributions to this fund since the first adjustment period of July.
World oil prices have risen sharply over the past two weeks due to concerns about tighter supply as Russia intends to extend its oil export production cuts.
On average, the price of RON 92 (the type used to blend E5RON92 gasoline) increased by nearly 0.5% per barrel, to $103.25; RON 95 was $109.23, up 0.7%. Kerosene also increased by nearly 2% per barrel, reaching $118.82; diesel was $117.71, while mazut decreased by 2.54% to $530.47.
