Gasoline prices on March 28 increased following the world trend, with E5 RON 92 gasoline increasing by VND410/liter and RON 95 gasoline increasing by VND530/liter. Meanwhile, diesel prices decreased by VND320/liter.
On the afternoon of March 28, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced changes to retail gasoline prices in the new adjustment period. The application period starts from 3:00 p.m. Specifically, the management agency decided to increase 410 VND/liter for E5 RON 92 gasoline, to 23,620 VND/liter; increase 530 VND/liter for RON 95 gasoline, to 24,810 VND/liter. Gasoline prices are currently at their highest level since the beginning of the year and the highest in the past 5 months. Meanwhile, diesel prices decreased by 320 VND/liter, to 20,690 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 390 VND/liter, to 20,870 VND/liter; and fuel oil increased by 50 VND/kg, to 17,140 VND/kg. In this management period, the joint ministries only allocated a price stabilization fund for fuel oil at 300 VND/kg. The management agency did not allocate or spend the price stabilization fund for all other types of gasoline and oil. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent an urgent document to key petroleum traders and petroleum distributors regarding the implementation of regulations on electronic invoices and the provision of electronic invoice data as prescribed. The Ministry requested that petroleum traders comply with the provisions of the law on petroleum trading. Petroleum traders must issue electronic invoices for petroleum trading and retail activities, especially in issuing electronic invoices at petroleum retail stores for customers for each sale and providing electronic invoice data as prescribed. The General Department of Taxation informed that as of March 24, nationwide, 14,727/15,981 petroleum retail stores have issued electronic invoices for each sale, accounting for an estimated 92.2% of the total number of petroleum retail stores.
