From 3 p.m. on April 11, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND68/liter and fuel oil decreased by VND288/kg. In contrast, RON95-III gasoline increased by VND20/liter; diesel increased by VND622/liter and kerosene increased by VND579/liter.

RON95-III gasoline price increased slightly from 3:00 p.m. today (April 11) after setting aside the stabilization fund.
According to the joint dispatch of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, RON95-III gasoline increased by VND20/liter, to VND24,821/liter; diesel increased by VND622, to VND21,610/liter and kerosene increased by VND579, to VND21,594/liter.
However, in this management period, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 68 VND, the new price is 23,848 VND/liter and fuel oil decreased by 288 VND, to 17,008 VND/kg.
Regarding the price stabilization fund (BOG), the joint ministries decided not to set aside funds for petroleum products, and not to use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for the above products.
A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,076 billion VND, an increase of 3 billion VND compared to the announcement period last week.
Most recently, on April 4, after setting aside the price stabilization fund, E5 RON92 gasoline increased by VND291/liter; diesel increased by VND295/liter; kerosene increased by VND136/liter; and fuel oil increased by VND151/kg. However, RON95-III gasoline decreased slightly by VND15/liter.
According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, which was recently issued by the Government on November 17, the period for managing petroleum prices will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.
In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
