Based on the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, businesses simultaneously adjusted gasoline prices from 3:00 p.m. today.

Accordingly, the price of E5 gasoline increased by 370 VND/liter, the selling price is 21,410 VND/liter. RON95 gasoline increased by 550 VND/liter, the selling price is 22,480 VND/liter.

Diesel price increased by 490 VND/liter, selling price is 20,190 VND/liter.

Thus, domestic gasoline prices have been adjusted up twice in a row since the beginning of the year.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance continued to criticize the establishment of the Price Stabilization Fund for diesel oil at 300 VND/liter, not deducting the Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene; not using the fund for all gasoline products.

On January 12, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 63/QD-BCT on revoking the Certificate of eligibility to act as a petroleum wholesaler of Hai Ha Waterway Transport Company Limited. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

At the same time, the Ministry issued Official Dispatch No. 287/BCT-TTTN on withdrawing the minimum total petroleum source target for 2024 assigned to the Company to balance and adjust the total source appropriately.

To ensure the supply of gasoline for the domestic market in general and in the provinces and cities where Hai Ha Waterway Transport Company Limited has a distribution system, on the same day, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a document requesting the Departments of Industry and Trade of Thai Binh province, Hai Phong city, Hanoi city, and Quang Ninh province to have a plan to ensure supply; arrange exchanges with other gasoline trading hubs and gasoline distributors to be ready to supply to compensate for the market.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade also sent a document to: Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Vietnam Oil Corporation - Joint Stock Company, One Member Limited Liability Company - Military Petroleum Corporation requesting businesses to prepare goods, increase the supply of gasoline to retail gasoline stores in the distribution system of the business in Thai Binh province, Hai Phong city, Hanoi city and Quang Ninh province, contributing to ensuring the supply of gasoline for the domestic market, not allowing a shortage of gasoline supply in the above provinces and cities, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year 2024.
