World oil prices today

Gasoline price World oil prices increased today. At 12:51, WTI crude oil was at 67.28 USD/barrel, up 0.37 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.55%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 66.91 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 67.02 USD/barrel.

Brent crude oil was at $71.17 a barrel, up $0.39 a barrel, or 0.55 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $70.78 a barrel and opened today at $70.91 a barrel.

Thus, world oil prices reversed and increased from the end of yesterday's session. At the end of the trading session on March 19, Brent and WTI oil prices increased by 0.31% and 0.39%, respectively. The increase continued in this morning's session.

Oil prices rose after the latest data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed that in the week ending March 14, US crude oil inventories unexpectedly increased sharply by 1.7 million barrels, to 437 million barrels - more than 3 times higher than the 512,000 barrel increase previously forecast by analysts.

Meanwhile, gasoline and distillate inventories fell across the board. Gasoline inventories fell by about 530,000 barrels to 240.6 million barrels, much lower than the expected decrease of 2.2 million barrels.

Distillate inventories, which include diesel and heating oil, also fell sharply by 2.8 million barrels to 114.8 million barrels – far exceeding analysts' forecasts for a 300,000-barrel drop.

The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of March 13, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices decreased sharply.

The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 680 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 753 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 483 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 435 VND/liter, and fuel oil decreased by 155 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period

According to a representative of a petroleum business, Gasoline price Domestic oil prices will fluctuate according to the world oil situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, oil prices may increase.

Of which, the price of RON 95-III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 450 VND/liter; E5 gasoline will increase by about 410 VND/liter; Diesel oil will increase by about 10 VND/liter or remain unchanged.
