Gasoline and oil prices continue to decrease from 3:00 p.m. April 17

The new gasoline prices were announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on April 17.

Many petroleum products have had their prices adjusted down since the afternoon of April 17.

Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by VND390/liter compared to the previous adjustment period, the new selling price will be VND18,490/liter. The price of RON95-III gasoline will not be higher than VND18,850/liter, after being adjusted down by VND350/liter compared to the retail price from April 10.

Also from 3:00 p.m. on April 17, the price of 0.05S diesel will not be higher than VND17,030/liter (down VND210 compared to the current retail price); Kerosene will not be higher than VND17,180/liter (down VND230/liter compared to the current retail price). In this adjustment period, the price of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil alone will increase by VND60/liter compared to the previous period, the new selling price is VND15,960/kg.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the world oil market in this operating period (from April 10 to April 17) is affected by factors such as: increased US crude oil reserves, new US tax policy issued by the US President for many countries, upcoming OPEC+ meeting on plans to increase supply, ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine... The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate depending on the commodity in recent days.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on April 10 and the adjustment period on April 17 was: 84.560 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 0.112 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.15%); 86.838 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 0.190 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.22%); 93.208 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 3.268 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.39%); 93.290 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 4.836 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 4.93%); 489.698 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 5.800 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 1.17%).

This is the 16th time in 2025 that gasoline prices have been adjusted. Of which, RON95 gasoline has increased 8 times and decreased 8 times, E5RON92 has increased 9 times and decreased 7 times, diesel has increased 8 times, decreased 8 times and kept the price 1 time, and fuel oil has increased 9 times and decreased 7 times.
