Ticket prices are more stable than peak summer season
According to a survey, on September 2, domestic airlines Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vietravel Airlines, Vasco, increased prices for flights higher than usual days before the holiday but still lower than during the peak summer tourist season.
According to a survey of the flight ticket sales channel Tripbooking.vn and airline websites on August 20, round-trip airfare for the Hanoi - Da Nang route ranges from 3.8 to 5 million VND with Vietnam Airlines.
Vietjet costs from 2.9 to 4.4 million VND and from 3.8 to 5 million VND with Bamboo Airways.
This is a higher price than usual, ranging from 1.9 to 2.5 million VND/one-way ticket. The Hanoi - Phu Quoc route is even more expensive, with round-trip tickets ranging from 3.4 to 6 million VND.

For flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, ticket prices range from 3.4 to 3.6 million VND/round-trip ticket for flights departing at midnight or early morning.
Popular routes such as Hanoi - Da Nang, Hanoi - Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi became the focus with ticket prices increasing significantly compared to normal days.
However, according to Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu - Marketing Communications Director of Vietluxtour Travel Company, airfares are still high, forcing tour prices to be adjusted accordingly.
Specifically, on some routes, tour prices have increased slightly by about 2 - 5% because airfare and hotel room prices have also increased by 5 - 65% compared to the same period last year. Currently, the average tour price range most booked by individual tourists ranges from 12 - 15 million VND/person.

Focus on domestic exploitation, international exploitation is reduced
According to reports from Vietnamese airlines, in the period from August 30 to September 3, a total of 4,257 flights were operated, an average of 840 flights/day, an increase of 3% compared to the previous holiday week and an increase of 3.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
Of which, the average number of domestic flights is 600 flights/day, an increase of 5% compared to the previous holiday week and an increase of 2.8% compared to the same period in 2023. The average number of international flights is 241 flights/day, a decrease of 2% compared to the previous holiday week and an increase of 5.1% compared to the same period in 2023.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in the context of a decrease in the fleet of domestic airlines and the focus on prioritizing domestic operations to serve the peak holiday of September 2, international flights decreased slightly by 2%.
Airlines increase capacity on September 2nd holiday
During the 4-day holiday, domestic airlines have increased the number of flights.
Vietjet added 25,000 seats, equivalent to 120 flights, and opened additional ticket sales on domestic tourist routes to and from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hue and many other destinations.
Vietnam Airlines has added 330,000 seats on domestic routes, equivalent to more than 1,700 flights, an increase of more than 19% over the same period in 2023.
Key domestic tourist routes are nearly 50% full and are expected to continue to increase rapidly; while international routes to India, China, Thailand, and Australia also achieved positive results with occupancy rates ranging from 50 to 70%.
