SJC gold price suddenly approaches 89 million VND/tael when world price reaches historical peak

(NLDO) – Domestic gold prices this morning (January 25) continued to maintain a high level, approaching 89 million VND/tael, the highest in many weeks.

On the morning of January 25 (ie 26th of Lunar New Year), the price of SJC gold bars has not stopped increasing strongly. SJC Company listed the buying price of gold bars at 86.8 million VND/tael, selling price at 88.8 million VND/tael, stable compared to the end of yesterday. Yesterday, the price of gold bars increased by nearly a million VND.

The price of gold bars has remained high for many weeks. In just the past week, each tael of gold bar has increased by nearly 2 million VND. If calculated from the beginning of the year until now, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by nearly 5 million VND.

In the market, banks have entered the long Lunar New Year holiday. Gold prices are traded and listed by some gold companies with wide buying and selling ranges of up to 2 million VND/tael when prices fluctuate strongly.

SJC gold bar price approaches 89 million VND/tael

PNJ Company sells gold bars at the same price as SJC Company; Mi Hong sells at a lower price, around 88.5 million VND/tael. Bao Tin Minh Chau Company pushes the selling price of SJC gold bars closer to the 89 million VND/tael mark, up to 88.9 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds also continued to remain at a high level. SJC Company traded gold rings of type 1, 2, and 5 only at 86.3 million VND/tael, sold at 88 million VND/tael, stable compared to yesterday. If buying SJC gold bars of type 0.5 only, the price is higher at 88.1 million VND/tael.

SJC gold bar price reaches highest level in many weeks

Domestic gold prices continued to rise to their highest level in about 6 weeks, following the strong increase in the world. In the international market, gold prices today were traded at 2,771 USD/ounce.

During the session, the precious metal jumped to $2,784 an ounce, just shy of its all-time high of $2,790 an ounce set in October 2024.

The USD price plummeted to 107.2 points (down about 0.57% compared to the previous session), continuing to support the strong increase in gold prices. In the domestic gold market, the demand for physical gold increased during Tet while supply remained limited, causing gold prices to remain high.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 84.5 million VND/tael.
