Other major brands also listed corresponding gold bar prices. The difference between buying and selling prices is currently around 2.5 million VND per tael.
At the same time, plain rings at SJC increased to 114 - 117 million VND, 3.5 million VND higher than yesterday. Bao Tin Minh Chau raised the price of plain rings to 114.5 - 117.5 million VND per tael.
Domestic gold prices have increased at a dizzying rate and far surpassed world prices in recent days. In the past 3 days alone, each tael of gold has increased by more than 10 million VND per tael.
The price of SJC gold bars is being determined by the State Bank, by listing the selling price for 4 state-owned banks and SJC, but the gap between the domestic and international markets this morning widened to the range of 12.5 - 13.5 million VND per tael.
In the international market, precious metals also continuously set new peaks above 3,350 USD per ounce. At 9:00 a.m. Hanoi time, the spot gold price was around 3,325 USD per ounce, converted according to Vietcombank's selling rate, equivalent to 104.5 million VND per tael.
The trading atmosphere in the market has been bustling in recent days. Some big brands in Ho Chi Minh City such as SJC, Mi Hong... recorded a higher number of customers than usual. Units maintain a policy of limiting the purchase of plain rings and gold bars, including many times of the day such as at Mi Hong, gold bars are temporarily out of stock.
