Gold price hits new peak, SJC brand soars to 88 million VND per tael

In line with the world, the SJC brand at domestic enterprises in the opening session on the morning of October 21 added up to 2 million VND per tael, while gold rings also adjusted by about 350,000 VND per tael.

SJC gold prices at domestic businesses increased sharply in the opening session this morning (October 21), while gold rings also increased.

At 9:00 a.m., Doji Company, Phu Quy Company and Saigon Jewelry Company announced the buying price of SJC gold at VND86.00 million/tael and the selling price at VND88.00 million/tael, an increase of VND2 million/tael. The most recent adjustment (October 16) increased the price by VND1 million/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings also increased, in which Phu Quy Company listed the price of 999.0 round gold rings from 85.20-86.20 million VND/tael, plus 350,000 VND/tael. As for Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the enterprise listed the price of plain round gold rings at 84.68-85.68 million VND/tael (buy/sell), unchanged from the previous closing price.

In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,723 USD/ounce, up nearly 7 USD/ounce compared to the same time last session. This price, when converted, is equivalent to 83.30 million VND/tael, about 4.7 million VND/tael cheaper than the domestic SJC brand.

This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on October 21 at 24,228 VND/USD, an increase of 15 VND compared to October 19.

With a margin of +/-5%, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate from 24,990-25,350 VND/USD, an increase of 10 VND compared to the previous closing price.

Meanwhile, Agribank announced from 24,980-25,320 VND/USD, down 50 VND. BIDV Bank bought at 24,960 VND/USD and sold at 25,320 VND/USD, down 10 VND compared to the previous session, while Vietinbank bought at 24,970 VND/USD and sold at 25,330 VND/USD, unchanged.
