World gold price today April 22, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 3,420.67 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 2.54% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,333 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 108.6 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 9.4 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold surged above $3,400 an ounce to a record high on Monday, as a weaker dollar and uncertainty over the economic impact of U.S.-China trade tensions boosted demand for bullion as a safe-haven asset.
Spot gold rose 2.6% to $3,415.24 an ounce by 10:46 a.m. ET (1446 GMT). Prices hit a record high of $3,424.25 earlier in the session. The dollar fell sharply as investor confidence in the U.S. economy took a further hit from comments by President Donald Trump about Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. A weaker dollar makes bullion more attractive to holders of other currencies.
“As tariff tensions continue to escalate, we continue to see gold prices rally as a safe-haven reaction. There will be some corrections and profit-taking at some point, but we still believe the underlying trend is sideways or higher,” said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
Gold, seen as a hedge against economic uncertainty and known as a highly liquid asset, has hit multiple record highs and gained more than $700 since the start of 2025. The precious metal broke through $3,300 last Wednesday and the strong rally has pushed the price up another $100 in just a few days.
“The much larger daily price movements in gold are an early sign that this extended rally is nearing its peak and a short-term market top may be in sight, more in terms of timing than price,” said Jim Wyckoff, senior analyst at Kitco Metals.
Among other metals, spot silver rose 0.2% to $32.66 an ounce, platinum fell 1% to $957.15 and palladium fell 3% to $934.34.
