Báo Quảng NinhBáo Quảng Ninh25/06/2023

After HPG's impressive growth, Mr. Tran Dinh Long's asset value calculated based on the number of shares directly held has surpassed Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's assets at Vingroup .

The Vietnamese stock market recorded an impressive recovery this week with the VN-Index increasing by 14.16 points (1.3%) to 1,129.4 points, marking the highest level in the past 9 months.

Thanks to this impressive growth, the assets of the 10 richest people on the stock exchange (based on the number of shares directly held in businesses) also increased significantly.

Notably, HPG shares of Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company recorded an impressive increase with 4 consecutive sessions of increase in the week. Accordingly, this stock increased by 8.3% in the most recent week, closing at VND25,400/share. This increase also helped HPG set a new peak in the past 1 year and has more than doubled compared to the bottom in November last year.

The rising streak of HPG shares has helped increase the assets of Mr. Tran Dinh Long - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat.   2,957 billion VND   during the week. Currently, Mr. Long directly owns more than 1.5 billion HPG shares. At the closing price on June 23, Mr. Long's assets from shares are worth over   38,500 billion VND .

Meanwhile, this week recorded a negative performance of VIC (Vingroup Corporation) stock with a downward trend of nearly 2.9%. This development caused the asset value of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong to decrease by more than   1,000 billion VND , down to   35,946 billion VND .

Thus, if we only calculate the asset value based on the number of shares directly held in enterprises (not counting the shares held through related companies and relatives), the owner of Hoa Phat Group has surpassed the Chairman of Vingroup to become the richest person in the Vietnamese stock market.

However, if we include the shares that businessmen hold indirectly through relatives and related companies, the total value of Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's assets on the stock exchange still reaches over   108,000 billion VND .

10 RICHEST BUSINESSMAN ON VIETNAM STOCK EXCHANGE

Previously, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong often held the highest position in the rich people ranking on the stock exchange with an asset value of tens of thousands of billions of VND if only counting the number of shares directly held.

However, recently, Mr. Vuong has had to use a large amount of shares to contribute capital to establish a new company, so the value of assets has decreased significantly. Most recently, Mr. Vuong transferred ownership of nearly 50.8 million VIC shares owned by himself to contribute capital to GSM Green and Smart Mobility JSC.

After the conversion, Mr. Vuong's holdings decreased to more than 690 million VIC shares, accounting for 17.87% of Vingroup's capital, while GSM Company owns 1.31% of Vingroup's charter capital.

Also in the ranking of the richest people on the Vietnamese stock market, Mr. Do Tuan Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunshine Homes Development JSC, still ranked 3rd even though 3/4 of the stock codes he holds have just experienced a red trading week.

Specifically, only SCG (SCG Construction Group) increased by 2.19% this week, while the remaining codes KSF (KSF Group); KLB (Kienlongbank) and SSH (Sunshine Homes) all decreased by 1.77%; 1.4% and 1.22%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the remaining 7 positions belong to famous businesswomen such as Vice Chairwoman of HDBank Board of Directors Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao; Ms. Vu Thi Hien - wife of Mr. Tran Dinh Long; Ms. Pham Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup; Chairman of VPBank Board of Directors Ngo Chi Dung with his wife Ms. Hoang Anh Minh and mother Vu Thi Quyen; ranked 10th is Chairman of FPT Board of Directors Truong Gia Binh.
