Pepper prices today in some key growing areas remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 154,000 VND/kg to 157,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 157,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 154,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Dak Nong is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 156,500 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau are currently at 155,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 155,000 VND/kg.

In addition, pepper price today in Binh Phuoc is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 154,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today April 14, 2025: High increase after a tumultuous week

In summary, last week, domestic pepper prices increased by 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Specifically, traders in Dak Lak province increased by 2,000 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Following that, pepper prices in Dak Nong province increased by 1,500 VND/kg.

Pepper prices in Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Dong Nai also increased by VND1,000/kg last week. Similarly, pepper prices in Gia Lai increased by VND1,000/kg, while pepper prices in Binh Phuoc remained unchanged last week.

According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), world pepper prices fell across the board last week. Of these, Vietnam’s black pepper price dropped the most by $500/ton, Brazil’s black pepper dropped by $150/ton, Indonesia’s black pepper dropped by $92/ton, and Malaysia’s by $50/ton.

The price of Vietnamese white pepper also decreased sharply by 500 USD/ton, Indonesian Muntok white pepper decreased by 261 USD/ton and Malaysian ASTA white pepper decreased by 100 USD/ton.

The Vietnamese pepper industry is currently studying the specific tax rates applied by the US in order to come up with appropriate response plans. Businesses expect positive results from bilateral negotiations, with the hope that after three months, the import tax rate for Vietnamese pepper will stop at only 10% and no additional reciprocal taxes will be imposed.

In addition, finding and expanding into potential markets is also an important direction. Markets such as Europe, Japan and the Middle East are showing signs of good growth, thanks to preferential tax policies as well as high demand for pepper products produced in a sustainable and deeply processed direction.

Pepper price today April 14 in the world market

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of pepper of all types traded in the international market on April 13 (local time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,147 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,805 per tonne.

Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,800/mt.

Malaysia's ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,850/ton. In addition, the country's ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,300/ton.

Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of 500 gr/l black pepper in Vietnam reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.

Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,600/ton.
