As every year, the number of students is nearly 400, divided into 24 fields. There are many fields, the actual demand is very large, so comparing the absolute number or the evaluation structure is not entirely correct. Because the fields that usually have the most candidates registered are business and management, followed by engineering and industry, industrial computers and printing; this year, the block of educational sciences and pedagogy has the largest number of candidates registered, followed by humanities and health.
Compared to 2023, there are 3 fields with the strongest increase in registration wishes: the block of educational sciences and teacher training increased by 85%, the field of natural sciences increased by 61%; the field of national security and defense increased by 46%.
But in terms of absolute numbers, the strongest increase is in teacher training and education science, with an increase of 200,000 wishes compared to 2023. It can be seen that the benchmark scores of these majors have increased... In general, as the number of candidates increases, the wishes increase systematically.
Meanwhile, some sectors decreased, especially the business and management sector decreased by 3%. The computer and printing technology sector, due to the slowdown in some industries, decreased by approximately 5% this year; the transportation service sector decreased by 2%.
Overall, the STEM block of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as every year, accounts for approximately 30%. According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son, this is a good trend. The enrollment rate and training scale in recent years have increased by 12% each year, this year the whole block increased by 11%.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Training said that the trend related to the development of high-tech professions, especially related to semiconductor design, the total number of wishes this year related to semiconductor design increased by 30%, in which the first wish increased by 40%. This shows that candidates are also very sensitive, well-informed, and approach the development trends of science and technology, especially high technology.
