On April 21, 2025, the durian market in Vietnam continued to be vibrant with purchase prices fluctuating depending on the type and quality in key growing areas such as the Mekong Delta, Southeast and Central Highlands. Below are detailed prices for each type of durian, providing a comprehensive view of the durian price trend on April 21, 2025.

In the fertile alluvial land of the Mekong Delta, Ri6 durian is highly valued with attractive prices. The premium Ri6 (VIP) ranges from 70,000 to 72,000 VND/kg, while Ri6 type A reaches 55,000 to 58,000 VND/kg. For Ri6 type B, the purchase price ranges from 35,000 to 38,000 VND/kg, while type C is flexibly priced by traders depending on quality.

Thai durian is no less prominent. The Thai VIP variety is sought after at prices ranging from 110,000 to 112,000 VND/kg, while type A ranges from 95,000 to 97,000 VND/kg. Type B Thai durian costs from 75,000 to 77,000 VND/kg, while type C is stable at 50,000 VND/kg.

In addition, Chuong Bo durian grade A is purchased from 63,000 to 65,000 VND/kg, grade B from 43,000 to 45,000 VND/kg, and grade C about 30,000 VND/kg. Sau Huu durian, a typical variety, is priced from 60,000 to 75,000 VND/kg for grade A, from 50,000 to 55,000 VND/kg for grade B, while grade C is negotiated depending on quality.

As for the higher-end durian varieties, Musang King grade A is priced at VND130,000 to VND135,000 per kilogram, grade B is VND110,000 to VND115,000 per kilogram, and grade C is priced flexibly. Black Thorn durian, with its distinctive flavor, is priced at VND125,000 to VND127,000 per kilogram for grade A, VND105,000 to VND107,000 per kilogram, and grade C is also negotiable based on quality.

In the Southeast region, durian prices on April 21, 2025 remained stable. Ri6 durian type A was purchased from 55,000 to 58,000 VND/kg, type B from 35,000 to 38,000 VND/kg, and type C was negotiated based on quality. For Thai durian, type A was priced from 95,000 to 97,000 VND/kg, type B from 75,000 to 77,000 VND/kg, and type C reached 50,000 VND/kg.

The Central Highlands, a region known for its ideal climate for durian, recorded prices similar to those in the Southeast. Ri6 durian grade A ranges from VND55,000 to VND58,000 per kilogram, grade B from VND35,000 to VND38,000 per kilogram, and grade C is priced flexibly. Thai durian here is priced at VND95,000 to VND97,000 per kilogram for grade A, VND75,000 to VND77,000 per kilogram, and grade C is stable at VND50,000 per kilogram.

Durian prices on April 21, 2025 reflect the diversity of quality and varieties in Vietnam's major growing regions. The Mekong Delta leads with many premium durian varieties such as Musang King and Black Thorn, while the Southeast and Central Highlands maintain stable prices for popular varieties such as Ri6 and Thai.
