Pi Coin is recording a steady increase, but has yet to break through the $0.70 resistance level. Although the price is showing signs of inching up, the market is concerned about a new wave of supply as a large amount of tokens are about to be released.

Specifically, today there will be about 5.8 million tokens unlocked, and within the next 30 days, this number could reach 223 million tokens. The strong increase in supply while the weak demand can put pressure on the price to drop sharply.

Mysterious account trades 7.5 million Pi

A notable transaction involving 7.5 million Pi was recently made between a Pi Network account and the OKX exchange. However, the identity of the person who made the transaction is still unknown.

Data from PiScan shows that this is a large-scale transaction and has attracted attention in the Pi user community. The fact that OKX transferred a large amount of tokens to a personal wallet has led many to speculate that this could be a shark or a large organization participating in the market in the context of Pi Network preparing to open its mainnet.

However, due to the anonymity of the blockchain and the lack of transparency from both OKX and Pi Network, it is not possible to verify the real owner of the wallet that received 7.5 million Pi.

Previously, in March 2025, the community spread images of a wallet containing more than 10 billion Pi, equivalent to nearly 8 billion USD, and was confirmed not to belong to the project's development team.

The latest statistics from PiScan show that the Pi ecosystem is clearly stratified. There are 21 wallets classified as whales, each holding more than 10 million Pi. In addition, there are more than 10,000 shark wallets holding between 1 and less than 10 million Pi.

The majority of users are holding less than 10 Pi, which represents more than 11.1 million individual wallets in the system. This shows that while there are a few accounts with very large amounts of Pi, the majority of the community is still holding a small amount, reflecting a large disparity in asset allocation on the network.
