In Vietnam, Da Lat is listed as the city with the most affordable accommodation prices, with an average room rate of only 1.57 million VND/night.

With its characteristic cool climate, poetic natural scenery and vibrant festival activities, Dalat continues to affirm its attraction.

In terms of region, with an average room rate of only 1.168 million VND/night, Hat Yai (Thailand) tops the rankings, becoming the top choice for tourists who want to travel at the end of December at affordable prices.

Following closely behind are Surakarta (Indonesia), and Varanasi (India), with room rates of VND1,193 million and VND1,244 million/night respectively. These destinations not only offer unique cultural experiences but also possess stunning scenery, making them perfect choices for enjoying the holiday season.

Vu Ngoc Lam, director of Agoda in Vietnam, said that the festive season is a time filled with joy and warm moments with family and friends. However, this is also a period when costs often increase, making budgeting a top concern for many travelers.

To compile the Best Budget Destinations ranking, Agoda compared room rates across 10 prominent cities in each country, and combined the results from nine countries.

However, this average price is just a reference price, so in reality, customers can find many options with more attractive prices, not only in the cities on the list but also in many other destinations on the Agoda application.

In Vietnam, in addition to popular Christmas destinations such as Da Lat, Mang Den, etc., Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are also filled with the festive atmosphere. The number of guests booking rooms during this time often increases, and hotels and restaurants have culinary and artistic programs ready to serve tourists during these holidays.

Based on bookings, Agoda has compiled a ranking of the average room rates in the top 10 destinations in each market.

Data is collected from bookings in September and October 2024, with check-in dates effective from December 24 to 31, 2024. Prices quoted are averages, vary, and are subject to change.
