Much work to do
The 20th anniversary of the province's founding is an event and milestone of great significance to the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Nong province; in which, Gia Nghia city will be the venue for many important events. Therefore, from the beginning of 2023, the city has launched an emulation movement to achieve achievements in all fields. Site clearance for key projects is a key task that Gia Nghia prioritizes and focuses on implementing.
Mr. Do Tan Suong, Chairman of Gia Nghia City People's Committee said: "The urgent task now is to focus on site clearance for key projects of the province to be implemented in the area to hand over to provincial units as investors. The locality also identified its key projects to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the province's establishment, especially urban beautification work.
Currently, the city still has a lot of work to do to ensure that the celebration activities take place solemnly and thoughtfully. Specifically, the lighting system in the city is not uniform, some places are bright, some are dark; the green tree system is still limited. According to the leader of the city's Department of Construction, it is necessary to mobilize resources, including socialized investment in lighting and green trees so that when tourists come to Gia Nghia, Dak Nong, they can see the spaciousness, modernity, and innovation of the locality.
In addition, the city's traffic network has not been completed in some sections, leading to poor connectivity. Therefore, the leaders of the Department of Transport suggested that Gia Nghia soon implement small projects to complete the traffic system as well as ensure connectivity and smooth traffic between routes. In order management and urban construction, many routes have plans but when built, they follow the current status. The city should soon mark the routes and at the same time require people to build according to the plan, to ensure the urban landscape, avoiding both difficulties in site clearance and high costs later.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gia Nghia has increased coordination in cleaning historical and tourist sites in the area to serve visitors such as the N'Trang Long Hero Monument, the Cay Xoai relic site...

Comrade Dieu K'ré, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, said that celebrating the province's founding anniversary is a major policy of the province, so the city needs to focus on doing it resolutely. In particular, the Party Committee and the city government focus on completing the transportation system and the Central Square Project. The city alone is very difficult, so departments and branches need to orient, pay attention, and have specific policies to support and accompany the city with the spirit of "the top and the bottom must be clear", Comrade Dieu K'ré noted.
Speaking at the concluding meeting between the Standing Committee of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Gia Nghia City Party Committee, Comrade Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, requested that the urban beautification work towards the 20th anniversary of the province's re-establishment should be started immediately, in which the city should focus on raising awareness and arousing the people's strength, with the spirit of "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people enjoy". City levels and sectors should increase the mobilization of each person and each family to plant a tree or a flower to beautify their home, which means beautifying the city. The city needs to build flower streets typical of its locality. In particular, the city continues to coordinate strongly with departments, branches and units to accelerate and ensure the construction progress of the Central Square Project because this is not only a highlight of Gia Nghia and the province but also a place where events and activities will take place to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the province's founding.
