Rice price today March 25: Rice continues to decrease

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, IR 504 raw rice has decreased by 150 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,700 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice has decreased by 150 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,500 - 7,600 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice has fluctuated at 8,600 - 8,750 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice has fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice has fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 6,600 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3-4 ranges from 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; bran price ranges from 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, in terms of small quantity, the price of rice of all kinds did not fluctuate much. In An Giang, the quantity is quite good, warehouses buy regularly, soy sauce prices fluctuate little. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is quite good, warehouses buy regularly, prices are stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), small quantity, stable prices of all kinds of rice. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the quantity is sporadic, prices of all kinds of rice fluctuate little.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds are stable compared to the beginning of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice fluctuates at VND21,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is priced at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is priced at VND22,000/kg.

Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,400 - 6,500 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating between 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated between 5,500 - 5,700 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) increased by 300 VND/kg, fluctuating between 5,500 - 5,800 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice was at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg.

In many localities today, new buying and selling transactions are quite good. In Bac Lieu, farmers offer to sell more fragrant and ST rice, traders are asking to buy regularly. In An Giang, rice supply has decreased a lot in some areas, buying and selling transactions are few, rice prices fluctuate slightly.

In Dong Thap, farmers offer stable fragrant rice prices, trading is good, prices fluctuate little. In Kien Giang, the remaining winter-spring rice area is small, most of the rice area has been deposited, rice prices fluctuate little.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged compared to the beginning of the week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 398 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 313 USD/ton.
