On September 28, information from Gia Lai General Hospital said that a patient had just died from anaphylactic shock due to a new drug. The victim was Mr. NVL (50 years old, residing in Ia Pior commune, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province).

Previously, on the evening of September 27, Mr. NVL was taken by his family to Gia Lai General Hospital for emergency treatment in a state of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and cold, pale skin. Doctors determined that Mr. NVL had died from anaphylactic shock from an unknown drug before being taken to the hospital.

According to the patient's family, on the morning of September 27, Mr. L. had eye pain and discharge, so he went to the pharmacy in the commune to buy medicine. Mr. NVL took 4 types of medicine, the specifics of each type are unknown.

After taking the medicine, in the afternoon of the same day, Mr. NVL had a rash all over his body, suspected to be due to a drug allergy, so he went to the commune health station for first aid. However, Mr. L. then fainted, so his family continued to take him to Gia Lai General Hospital for emergency treatment, but he died. It is known that Mr. NVL had a history of allergies to some ingredients of modern medicine.

Doctors recommend that people who have symptoms of pain or illness should visit medical facilities for treatment advice and take medication as prescribed by a doctor, especially patients with a history of allergies to drug ingredients.
