On July 31, the E-commerce Development Center (under the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade) coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province to organize training on business skills in the digital environment and livestream knowledge for households, cooperatives, and businesses in the area.
According to the representative of the E-commerce Development Center, the 4.0 revolution has changed the way of selling from traditional to online via internet connection. The goal is that by 2025, Vietnam will have over 55% of the population participating in online shopping.
Online shopping value is estimated at 600 USD/person/year, with e-commerce sales expected to reach 35 billion USD, accounting for 10% of total retail sales of goods and consumer services nationwide.
In the coming time, with the increasing rate of cashless payments, the scale of e-commerce transactions will be more and more attractive to consumers as well as bring benefits to people and businesses.
E-commerce helps connect supply and demand. However, the E-commerce Development Center also warns of some common violations such as sellers on the trading floor engaging in unfair competition; fraud, scams, selling counterfeit goods, banned goods and goods that infringe intellectual property rights...
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - representative of the Center for E-commerce Development said: "Some individuals put products and goods on e-commerce trading floors that are not as described, causing customers to lose trust. Sometimes the order is successful but the goods are out of stock, or they are slow in refunding money due to product defects."
Nowadays, when participating in e-commerce, people are free to open a booth and process orders. Thereby, they can reach large-scale customers through communication channels.
Consumers will be able to shop online safely with quality goods, prices from the manufacturer; ensure clear origin, conveniently shop for regional specialties from one address.
Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province Pham Van Binh said: "Sharing experiences of experts in the field of digital electronics will help people, businesses, and cooperatives in Gia Lai province gain more knowledge and understanding about participating in e-commerce transactions.
Doing business in the digital field is an inevitable trend of the times, taking advantage of the 4.0 technology revolution to contribute to increasing product consumption, bringing the highest profits and business efficiency.
