Gia Lai signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Attapeu province (Laos) for the period 2025-2030

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity, demonstrating the determination to strengthen the close relationship between the governments and people of the two provinces.

Accordingly, Gia Lai and Attapeu agreed to promote cooperation in eight areas: politics -foreign affairs, education-training, health, investment, industry-trade, agriculture, culture-tourism and security-defense. The two sides will alternately organize high-level meetings every two years; at the same time, increase delegation exchanges, share experiences in building the political system, promoting investment and specialized fields.

In the field of education, Gia Lai commits to providing 5 full scholarships each year to students of Attapeu province and to receiving medical , agricultural and foreign affairs officials from neighboring countries for training and development. The province also encourages experts and investors to support and cooperate in Attapeu, especially in the fields of health, agriculture and processing industry.

In particular, Gia Lai will send experts to guide on cultivation techniques, animal husbandry, disease prevention and control, and at the same time support businesses in surveying, promoting trade, and building animal feed factories in Attapeu.

In terms of culture and tourism, the two provinces will enhance cultural exchanges, art performances, promote tourism products and coordinate to build connecting tours and routes. In the field of security and defense, the two sides will continue to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Public Security of 6 provinces in the three countries of Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam, creating favorable conditions for citizens of both sides to study, live and work legally.

The Memorandum of Understanding is the basis for the departments, branches, units and enterprises of the two provinces to concretize into action programs. The Department of Foreign Affairs of the two provinces is assigned to be the focal point to monitor, remove difficulties, and ensure effective implementation of the signed contents.

The signing of this cooperation agreement once again affirms the special solidarity and close relationship between Gia Lai and Attapeu, contributing to fostering the great friendship between Vietnam and Laos to develop more and more sustainably.
